Sustainable Livelihoods Through Locally Made Products
UWEP supports economic growth and self-reliance by promoting locally made products that showcase cultural heritage and sustainable craftsmanship.
Through our programs, communities produce and sell high-quality goods such as Masai art and craftwork, honey, and beeswax-based products, providing individuals, especially women and youth, with reliable income opportunities.
Masai art and craftwork , including beautifully handcrafted jewelry, woven baskets, and decorative pieces, preserve cultural traditions while creating marketable products for local and international buyers.
Honey production , a result of our beekeeping initiatives, provides communities with a valuable natural resource that supports both nutrition and economic stability.
Beeswax , is used to create eco-friendly products such as candles, soaps, and skincare items, promoting sustainability and reducing reliance on synthetic materials.
UWEP not only enhances financial independence but also encourages environmentally friendly and culturally significant entrepreneurship, empowering communities for long-term success by supporting the production and sale of these items.
